 purchase a VP896, Download the latest software 4.6.5,the unit firmware version is 21.0. running Windows 7 pro 32bit.I am trying to read and write to a HYNX H27UAG8T2B.After reading the H27UAG8T2B I have a checksum,when I save the buffer to a file the checksum reads 0000

 before program nand flash ,choose program mode first. Click button "config" and choose "hard copy" "page=8640" for you.
H27UAG8T2B is 16G flash but programmer support 8G, so it have to be cut two parts.
H27UAG8T2B(0) is 0H--41FFFFFFH.
H27UAG8T2B(1) is 42000000H--83FFFFFFH.

if flash has bad blocks and you can also use "hard copy(no verify)" to program. But this may lost the bad blocks data and may cause chip do not work. this you have to change another one to try.

 Still having problem programming the H27UAG8T2B(0),Im getting an communication error in 1 to 3 minutes. I can program the H27UAG8T2B(1) with no problem. I will like to return my VP896 for inspection. please help

 I order 10 brand new chip from Aliexpress and all chips give the same result "communication error".I removed one H27UAG8T2B from an working board, the result are the same "communication error" when trying to program H27UAG8T2B(0).I have the correct adapter and the result are the same.can you explain why I am able to program the H27UAG8T2B(1) but not the H27UAG8T2B(0) ?

 no communication error if I erase the chip or read the chip. erase chip function works,but I have to change the edit config setting back to "skip bad block". to erase the chip.its don"t erase under "hardcopy no verify"

if no chip in socket I get an "no device in socket error".If I hit ignore the programmer state "erase okay 2.67 sec".

 I download the latest software (4.6.5 (2/14/2015) and I am still getting a communication after 255.57 sec to 300.55 sec.

 I have try another PC already same result, I am giving up on this programmer. The VP896 can"t write to any 16gb chips. I have purchase brand new chips and I can"t program any of them.I have try your setting within the program fail in every attempt.Now I need to buy another PC. Its not your software and Its not the programmer? right?

 I like to believe you are a right about your software is working, So today I will try to program the H27UAG8T2B(0) on difference PC"s at my work place.All PC"s are fairly new and are running Windows 7. I have 3 PC"s total to test on.If I am able to program H27UAG8T2B(0),all is good and you are right. If all fail then I am returning the programmer for inspection.I will email you screen shot of my failure (if any). I purchase this programmer in Jan 5,2015 and haven"t program any H27UAG8T2B

 I updated the software to 02-28-2015 and I try three PC"s and all have the same result, "communication error" in about 300 sec. Two of the PC"s are running Windows 7 and the other one was windows XP.I am not sure was to do.I can program other chips like: W25Q64BV,MX25L6406 and MX25L12845E.

I can only program H27UAG8T2B(1) not the other half H27UAG8T2B(0) can I return this programmer for inspection? I will pay return shipping.
I"m losing valuable time on this problem.

 OKAY the communication error is FIX, I am replacing my PC with a newer model.

When I read the H27UAG8T2B(0) and save the buffer the to a file.The file size is only 1,081,347KB, the programmer isn"t reading the 8gb. How can I read the whole 8gb?

 half of H27UAG8T2B is 1056M byte,its file size is right. it is 8gb bit.is 1gb byte.

 Still not successful in programming the H27UAG8T2B.I just build a new computer with a MSI Intel main-board, Intel i5 processor, 8gb of RAM,1tb hard-drive and 3.0 USB ports.I have read this good H27UAG8T2B in all configuration possible,and the file I load into buffer isn"t the same when I read the program chip again. Don"t know what to do, I"m about to sell this VP896 programmer and buy another brand. please help again

 I am reading a good H27UAG8T2B from a smart TV main board,and using the "hardcopy" to program on a new H27UAG8T2B chip. I solder the new H27UAG8T2B on tha same working main board, it doesn"t work.

 try to select H27UBG8T2A(0) *48TS and H27UBG8T2A(1) *48TS to program your H27UAG8T2B. or download new software later,select H27UAG8T2B.
you have to know the nand chip have bad blocks.H27UAG8T2B contains two devices.A single device has a maximum of 25 invalid blocks.
so if the valid datas flash in invalid blocks,it may not work,even if program ok.this have to choose another chip.

 yes I have read the datasheet about bad block, bad blocks are mark and log by the chip itself.if the software is working correctly bad block should be skip.your software need more option for handling bad blocks

 I was able to successfully write to H27UAG8T2MTR(0) using "SKIP BAD BLOCK" mode When.writing to H27UAG8T2MTR(1)in "SKIP BAD BLOCK" I received am address error which was out of buffer address range. I will email you the error.

 I check with some chips supplier in China, the H27UAG8T2MTR-BC isn"t ship from HYNIX with no bad blocks. please revisit the datasheet on this chip. Other programmer"s software program the whole 2gb of the H27UAG8T2MTR with one write command,not in the two half.So maybe this should be change to this method.

 we have updated the software.
by the way,"skip bad block" is not fit for you.because your file is from board.and you need copy the whole chip from one to another.we mark 0x0 for bad(addr:the 1st Byte in the spare area of the 1st page,each block),but your board may use other,so usually it does not work even finished program.

if you just copy one to another,suggest you use "hard copy" and full page(8192+spare area,448).

 if there are not bad blocks,it is perfect.
but if it has bad, you"d better use "hard(no verify)" to flash.wish the bad do not contain the valid datas(like boot).
if this,maybe work. if not,it fails.try another chip.
