 I am using the vp998 programmer, even if you dont connect any cables it does not check the isp connection, when you issue the read command it reads smoothly and finally says reading ok
Why is it not checking for wrong connection or wrong pin?

 if its device ID is enable,select "Device ID Check",you can check wrong connection.
if not,you cannot check wrong connection.
